Levi Strauss

As I went down to the river to pray, studing about the good ol' way and who shall wear the starry crown oh Lord show me the way......

Levi is the new Son in our families life. Since August we have taken Levi into our Home in every way except legal guardianship. Levi is a kid, Rob and I worried about our Son hanging out with.. we talked to people in our small town and Pastors and Friends and asked what they knew about this kid that Justin had met during youth group. with both parents in and out of prison, and a Mother Levi will never know, other than the scars she left him we were not interested in allowing him over to the house right away. he is fragile with a deep need for love and security. We were not excited about Justin spending alot of his time with him. Until A dear Friend said to us " What if Justin and your family could reach out to Levi,and show him love and Christ, instead of you worring about what this kid could do to mess with your comfort zone. (DUH)

Levi has been wounded so deeply in every way imaginable... and yet the kindess, sensativity, heart warming and childish laugh of this amazing soul has caused each of our family members and close friends around us to fall madly in love with Levi.

Sept 27th Marked Levi's new birthdate in Christ. He asked Rob " Pop" to Baptize him... so October 20th 2006 at 4:00 in the icey waters of Eagle Creek, Levi went down to the river to pray. Levi does not want his family to know for fear of being belittled and ridiculed. Pray now, for the grace and salvation of his Dad and grandpa who have raised Levi. To be able see with thier own hearts the changes in Levi... the Man of God. The Warrior... Levi the Tender hearted Lion, and they themselves would desire to know and want this change as well.

The beautiful changes that has happened in our family, since Levi has come to stay, have been noteable to say the least. I pray daily for all (3) of my children, But God gets me up about 4:30 in the Morning at times, to Pray for this Man-Child, in deep prayer that ripples into the lives and loves around him. I pray with a Mothers heart and a Warriors words. I pray for the life of each of my children as Levi's presence in our family is not by chance, but God ordained and we better not miss the blessings along the way...

A challange goes out to you... if there is someone you feel may be "Messy" in your life... reach out and see where God takes you... God might have a "Levi " in your life that will take your breath away. Cause God, is just that crazy. :O)
